At the age of 28, I’ve had a truly blessed life so far. I’ve had the pleasure of living in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Marietta, Maryland, DC, New York, and Connecticut. I’m blessed with a wonderful family, amazing friends, and a great job. A few months ago, I had a realization that I was not cultured.
Not cultured? In life, I have tunnel vision and focus on what I’m doing in the moment. I rarely read the news or embrace the opportunities that are in my back yard. I’ll go weeks with Facebook and word of mouth being my only source of keeping up with the world today.
After months of saying that I’m not cultured, I made a commitment to do something about it. And as always, it’s best to start a new project with a support system. One of my best friends, Lindsey Selleck, has also committed to branching out and trying new things. This blog is a place for the two of us to document all of the wonderful things we experience on our culture journey. You will also find guest bloggers from time to time.
What do we consider culture? Everything and anything that shapes the world today – history, art, music, theatre, food, lessons, environments, scenic views, etc.
Cheers to appreciating the world!
Lindsey and Erin
